HOW TO BOOK
Book accommodation @BIGFIN BEACH RESORT and receive 10% discount on dive trips & courses. To receive the discount rate you must book accommodation first.
Dives and courses can ideally be booked around 2 weeks to 2 months before arrival. Please ensure that you book activities before arrival to avoid disappointment if we are fully booked.
We offer daily pick up from Dragon pearl beach for day trip divers staying elsewhere in Kota Belud or Kota Kinabalu.
We accept online bookings only, full payment is required for booking.

ITINERARY
8.15AM Pick up from Dragon pearl beach & transfer to Bigfin divers (day trip guests) 8.30AM: Equipment set up, speed boat to dive site
9.15AM: Briefing & 1st dive
10.15AM: Surface interval on boat (if you are prone to seasickness, please take medication before trip)
11.15AM: Briefing & 2nd dive
12.45PM Lunch at Bigfin beach resort (included)
2.15PM: 3rd Dive (Optional) Note: 3rd dive will be to a dive site closer to Bigfin divers due to afternoons sea conditions. Guests who do not join for the 3rd day may relax at Bigfin beach resort
4PM: Finish – Return Dragon pearl beach Please note that exact timings may vary depending on weather conditions, number of guests and other unforeseen changes.
Diving Important Information
- SOLO DIVER/SNORKELER SURCHARGE
+RM100 per day extra charge applies for 1:1 guide (fun dives) /instructor (course). No extra charge applies if you join another group of divers. - Minimum of 2 divers required for a Kota Belud dive trip, 4 divers for a Mantanani trip.
If you are a solo diver, please contact us before booking to check that you can join other guests. - Day trip divers – Depart/return to Dragon pearl beach, Mengkabar.
- In house guests – Depart/return to Bigfin Beach Resort.
- In JULY and AUGUST (wavey season) we recommend only booking a 2 DIVE MORNING TRIP. If conditions are good then you can add on an extra afternoon dive when here.

Resort Important Information
- Our resort is only accessible by boat (NO road access), return boat transfers are included.
Boat transfers for check in/out are available on request:
8am – 5pm.
No transfers after dark. - Room Check In: 1pm / Out: 11am
- Allow 2 hours to reach Bigfin beach resort from Kota Kinabalu (10 min boat + 90 min drive).
- Our rooms are fully SOLAR POWERED. Regretfully, we do NOT have air conditioning or hot water as we can not support the power output.
- We have fast Star link Satellite Wifi available in the restaurant. However, the Wifi signal does not reach the rooms, where you will need to use own cell data.
- Breakfast, lunch and Dinner is included in room rates. Meals are Asian cuisine, buffet style. Please inform our chef if you have any dietary requirements.
